Pollution is a big problem in the Seine River, due to the massive population of people living around the river. The first major pollution outbreak for the Seine was during World war 1, and by 1995, only 3 species of fish remained in the river. the pollution of the Seine River is stemming from many issues ranging from the littering of plastics to Airplane Fuel and Domestic, Industrial and Agricultural toxins. The Seine River is 777km long and flows through France and right through Frances busiest city, Paris. This mean that the Seine river is the receiver to mass amounts of litter and pollution through the large quantities of people living around and visiting the river daily.
